About Career Tales
Everyone has a story. Not everyone knows how to tell it.
Career Tales began with a simple observation: students often have far more experience, ability and potential than they realise, but can struggle to turn those experiences into a compelling story about themselves.Students have stories.
Stories about where they have come from. What they have overcome. The jobs they have worked, the people they have cared for, the cultures they move between, the things they are curious about, the choices they have made and the experiences that have shaped them.
Yet when we ask them to talk about themselves professionally, something often gets lost.
Rich lives become lists of skills. Experiences become bullet points. Individuality disappears behind the language of employability.
Career Tales was created to change that. It set out to create a different kind of employability education - one that starts with the person rather than the CV.
